You don't have to wonder
Once you've applied, you can track exactly where every application stands — and respond to messages from hiring managers — all in one place.
Where to check your applications
The Applications tab
Go to Applications in the main navigation. Every application you've submitted appears here with its current status — Applied, Shortlisted, or further stages as the employer moves you through their process.
Notifications
Status updates, shortlisting decisions, and employer actions appear in your Notifications (the bell icon in the top navigation). Check this regularly — especially if you've applied to multiple roles.
When you've been shortlisted, you'll see a notification like the ones below. Each one says "[Action Required] You've been shortlisted!" — these need your attention straight away.
My Messages
Hiring managers can message you directly through the platform. Go to My Messages (the envelope icon) to see and reply to any conversations. You can also initiate contact with a hiring manager from your Applications tab.
Reply quickly. When a hiring manager messages you, reply as soon as you can. Fast responses signal that you're motivated and professional. Slow responses can cost you a shortlisting.
What the Hero Foundation team does next
After you apply, our team gets to work in the background. We:
- Follow up with the employer directly and vouch for your application by name.
- Check on the status of your application on your behalf.
- Contact you if there's an update or if the employer has feedback.
- Support you with interview preparation if you're shortlisted. Just reach out to us at HeroFoundation@employmenthero.com, and we'll set up a session.
