Use the search page
In addition to being matched to roles automatically, you can search for jobs yourself at any time. Head to jobs.employmenthero.com and use the Find Work page to browse and search the full jobs board.
Search and apply for your first role
Step by step: Search and apply
Step 1: Always log in first
Log in before you start searching. Without being logged in, you won't see your Matched Roles section — which appears at the top of the Find Work page and shows the most relevant roles based on your profile.
Step 2: Check your Matched Roles first
Your Matched Roles appear at the top of the page. These are the roles the platform considers the best fit for your profile right now. Check these before anything else.
Important
All matched roles on this page use 1-Click Apply. This means tapping Apply will immediately send your current profile. If you want to submit a custom CV or cover letter for one of these matched roles, search for the same role in the search bar below and apply through those search results instead — not from the matched roles section.
Step 3: Use the search bar and filters
Type a job title, skill, or location into the search bar. Use Show Filters to narrow results by location, employment type (full-time, part-time, casual), and salary. Sort by relevance to see the best matches first.
Step 4: Read the job listing carefully
Click any role to open the full job listing. You'll see:
- Match Analysis score: A percentage showing how well your profile fits the role. 70%+ means you're a strong candidate.
- "Top Candidate" badge: Shown when you're among the strongest applicants. Apply promptly when you see this.
- "1-Click Apply" tag: This means the role uses the fast one-click application. See Article 5 for what that means.
- Job details: Location, salary range, employment type, and posting date.
Step 5: Apply and answer any screening questions
Click 'Apply now' and confirm your application. Some roles include AI-powered screening questions immediately after applying. Answer these straight away — most hiring managers only shortlist candidates who have completed them.
Step 6: Send a message to the hiring manager
After applying (and after any screening questions), you'll have the option to send a personalised message to the hiring manager. The platform will generate an AI-drafted introduction based on your profile. Use it as a starting point, then personalise it — adding something specific about why you're interested in this particular role and employer makes a real difference.
