The Tasks Widget on the EH Work app home dashboard provides a quick, centralised view of your HR tasks that need action. Managers and admins can approve leave requests, timesheets, and expenses with a single tap, while employees can view and acknowledge policies, induction content, and tasks assigned to them. The widget is designed to keep you on top of time-sensitive approvals without navigating away from the home screen.
Important
The Tasks Widget is available for managers, admins, owners, and employees with custom security settings and appropriate permissions. Summary cards appear when there are more than 10 items of the same task type to prevent the widget from becoming cluttered. You can still access all items by tapping on the summary card to navigate to the full management screen.

Further information
The Tasks Widget organises your pending actions in a smart way to keep you focused and prevent information overload.
Summary Cards (when there are more than 10 items)
When a single task type has 10 or more pending items, the widget displays a summary card instead of individual items. This shows you the count and category at a glance. For example: "12 timesheets - Awaiting your approval". Tap the summary card to navigate to the full management screen where you can view, filter, and approve all items.
Quick Action Cards (when there are 10 or fewer items)
Individual tasks appear as quick action cards when there are 10 or fewer of that type pending. These cards display key information you need to make a decision (employee name, dates, amounts, balances, etc.) with an Approve button for fast action.
Task Sorting
Tasks are sorted by urgency and recency to help you focus on what matters most. Time-sensitive items and recently submitted tasks appear at the top of the widget.
Task Types Available
Managers and admins may see: Leave approvals, timesheet approvals, expense approvals, recognition approvals, certification reviews, and assigned tasks.
Employees may see: Policies to acknowledge, induction content, certifications to update, assigned tasks, and HR documents.
