Employment Hero Work app access for terminated employees

Terminated employees from your organisation will still have access to a limited set of features when they log in via EH Work's Android or iOS mobile application. Terminated employees are only able to view their data in the EH Work app and cannot edit any existing data in the EH Work app.

Employee management

Terminated employees do not have access to view these employee file sections in the EH Work app:

  • Overview.
  • Personal Details.
  • Employment History.
  • HR Documents.
  • Pay Details.
Employee self-service

Benefits and Hero Points

Terminated employees do not have access to the following in the EH Work app:

  • Redeem ‌Hero Points via their EH Work Spend Account.
  • View their order history.

Important

Please note that unused Hero Points from a terminated employee cannot be returned to employers.

Where a user leaves your employment, the Hero Points allocated to them (if not spent) will stay with them indefinitely and can still be utilised in two ways.

  • The first is via the Employment Hero Work App, where the user has a Swag Spend Account.
  • Second is if the user is re-employed by another organisation using Employment Hero and hence regains access to the Benefits sections' Employment Hero Work Store.

For more information, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

Pay slips

As this article covers, if the Employee Portal Access setting is enabled, terminated employees can access and download their payslips through both the EH Work app and the Employment Hero platform.

The Employee Portal Access setting is part of EH Payroll and applies to EH Payroll customers only.

A Hero Passport will be automatically generated, giving them indefinite access to their documents, including payslips.

If the setting is disabled, the terminated employees will lose access to their documents, even if they can still log in to the EH app and platform.
