How do I apply for a job using candidate matching?

Using Hero AI, candidate matching analyses a candidate’s skills, experience, and certifications to find an ideal match. You get a list of roles delivered directly to you, to perfectly match your needs.

Important

You need to set up your Career profile on the EH Work Jobs website before downloading the application. Once you have created your Career profile, you can manage and apply for roles through the EH Work app.

Apply for a job in Career using candidate matching

Important

If you are an individual who is not currently employed, or if you are looking for a new role at a different organisation, then this section applies to you. If you are looking for a new role within your current organisation, then see this article.

  1. Open the EH Work app.
  2. Tap on the Career icon.
  3. Scroll across the top bar to tap on My Resume. Ensure that you upload a resume and cover letter, as well as optionally adding your work eligibility, education, experience and certifications, licences and role preferences into your Career profile.

    Important

    You will need to have uploaded your resume to My Resume before you can apply for any roles in Career.

  4. Make sure Job Search is selected at the top of the page.

  5. Search by job title, or city and country.
  6. You can select to filter your results by the following:
  • Country
  • Industry
  • Work Type.
  1. Select a job title.
  2. Tap Apply now.
  3. Complete the required details, check the Privacy Policy consent and tap Submit application.
  4. Your application will then be sent to the employer. Good luck!
Update your criteria and apply for a job in Career with candidate matching

Important

candidate matching will recommend jobs based on your job title, location, skills, salary, job type and work experience. You will only be recommended roles if you are a job seeker, and not if you are currently employed.

  1. Open the EH Work app.
  2. Tap on the Career icon.
  3. Tap on candidate matching at the top of the page.

  4. Tap Update match criteria.

  5. Tap on the right-hand side-facing arrow to update your match preferences.

  6. Tap on Find Matches.

  7. Your candidate matching jobs matching your updated criteria will now display.

Helpful Hint

If you see a heart icon in the bottom right-hand side of the job post, that means that the recruiter has saved you for as a good match. If you would like to apply for this role, tap the Quick Apply button. 

SMS messaging from candidate matching

You can opt to turn on SMSes from candidate matching, notifying you about when a recruiter saves your EH Work Jobs profile, sends you a message in candidate matching, or sends you an email.

  1. Open the EH Work app.
  2. Tap on the Career icon.
  3. Tap on candidate matching.

  4. You will see a pop-up asking for your permission to receive candidate matching SMSes.
  5. Tap on Turn on to receive SMS messages from candidate matching.

If you do not see a pop-up to turn on SMS notifications

  1. Log into the EH Work app.
  2. Tap on the Career icon.
  3. Tap on My Resume.

  4. Tap on the 3 dots beside your name.

  5. Tap on Profile Visibility.

  6. Swipe the toggle to the right-hand side. This will turn on SMS notifications for candidate matching.

Opting out of candidate matching SMS notifications
  1. Log into the EH Work app.
  2. Tap on the Career icon.
  3. Tap on My Resume.

  4. Tap on the 3 dots beside your name.

  6. Swipe the toggle to the left to ensure that SMS notifications are turned off.
